Shavers: Launching a successful e‑commerce brand

Shavers Shaving Supplies

Shavers is a vertically integrated online retailer specializing in shaving products. On their e-commerce they planned to offer a curated selection of the best shaving products from around the world, including razors, blades, shaving creams, soaps, and aftershaves.

The biggest challenge Shavers faced as a startup was to create a powerful brand that would appeal to customers and convince them to buy their products. In order to do this, Shavers had to create a strong brand identity and online presence to reach their audience effectively and distribute their products.

Bridging the gap between tradition and innovation

When we conducted our research together with the team at Shavers, we realized that we needed to give our brand and packaging a distinctive look that would stand out from the competition and appeal to an audience that would be shopping for quality. We aimed to create a brand that reflected the gentleman tradition associated with barber shops while also showing that their products are (litterally) cutting edge .

We created a 360 brand identity to make the user experience consistent in every touchpoint: From the first impact through paid or social media to the shopping experience on their e-commerce platform, and the packaging and promotional material upon delivery of their monthly subscription.

Packaging

When designing the packaging for the blades and handles, we had the advantage that our design would be viewed in isolation through Shavers private channels, avoiding having to compete for attention on a cluttered store shelf. This meant that we could take a more contained approach with more muted tones that create an item that actually looks at home among your shaving products. A mat finish with spot UV varnish was applied to give the packaging the final quality touch.

Ecommerce Website

To design and develop a full ecommerce website for Shavers, our team followed a comprehensive approach. Firstly, we conducted a thorough research on the target audience and their needs. This helped us to understand the preferences and expectations of the visitors and design a website that is user-friendly and easy to navigate. We also incorporated an interactive quiz that recommends products to visitors based on their personal grooming habits and skin type. This added an interactive element to the website and made the product selection process more personalized. We used the latest technology and design principles to ensure the website is responsive and optimized for all devices. Our development team also integrated a secure payment gateway and robust backend system to manage orders, shipments, and inventory. The end result is a comprehensive ecommerce website that offers a seamless shopping experience to the customers and helps the brand to expand its reach.
